On November 7 and 8, EIS members Kevin Baum, Holger Hermanns, Lena Kästner, and Eva Schmidt participated in the kick-off symposium for the Volkswagen Foundation’s funding initiative “AI and the Society of the Future”.
We presented a poster giving an overview over our project and Holger
introduced EIS in a five-minute lightning talk. It was very interesting
to listen to the keynote talks and especially to the presentations
from the other grant recipients.
Otherwise, we used the time to network with old and new acquaintances
such as the team of the BIAS project at Leibniz University Hanover, and
enjoyed spending time at the beautiful conference location,
Herrenhausen Palace in Hanover.
