From November 29th to December 1st, Kevin attended an interdisciplinary conference on the “Responsibility of Digitized Companies” (“Verantwortlichkeit digitalisierter Unternehmen”) at the invitation of the University of Salzburg. At the congress, all kinds of topics in the field of Corporate Digital Responsibility (CDR) were discussed. Also, one important question was how to conceptualize the relevant notions best. Kevin gave a talk on transparency requirements and the role of explainability in the responsible use of intelligent systems.

It becomes increasingly apparent that questions of CDR require answers from (and research in) explainable AI, trustworthy AI, and the like. We will look into this in more detail in 2020.
